-- THE HALO: THE AETHERIC INSTITUTIONS --
Many people come to Linkpeace and to the Halo to further their understanding of our strange and wonderful world. There are various schools dotted around the area, however there are five institutions which stand out above all others. These are the Aetheric Institutions; universities and academies which are the forerunners in their specific fields. Their students become people of influence in religion, technology or politics. They become world leaders, armed with the strongest weapon known to man, elf or dwarf; knowledge.

-- THE HALO: AEGISFORGE, GUILD CENTRAL --
As an island, Linkpeace is incredibly self-sufficient, not only in terms of food production but as well as law enforcement. Most matters of law and order are handled by two governing bodies. The Skypol, groups of guards who patrol the streets of the Halo and the fields of the Flat as a local police force, are one of them. The other are the Guilds. These are groups of adventurers and bounty hunters, usually headed by a Guild Boss who undertake contracts from the public in return for monetary rewards. I feel like it wouldn’t be a complete guide to Linkpeace if I didn’t briefly mention about the lowest level of the island. I don’t want to write too much about it, as I have not been there myself. I have only heard rumours of the atrocities which occur down there. Islands are supposedly held together by strings of dead children. At least, that’s what one very red-eyed, weary adventurer told me.
